About the project

The idea for Beatshare was born out of pure frustration. As a music producer myself, uploading beats to YouTube, SoundCloud, and Instagram, I quickly realized that making the music was only half the battle. Editing, exporting, and rendering videos for social media became a massive time sink. It took so much energy that, eventually, the passion for creating and publishing music started to fade.

I desperately needed a tool to automate the video creation process. However, every solution out there required a monthly subscription or didn’t quite solve my specific problem. So, I started building Beatshare. I eventually got some good developer friends to join in and contribute with what they could, and one feature at a time, we brought the first beta to life.

Who is behind the project?

By day, we all work full-time jobs as software developers, but by night, we use some of our spare time and passion to build and maintain Beatshare. Because I faced the exact same challenges as you, my goal isn’t to exploit creators with heavy subscription fees. I build this for the community, aiming to keep it local, secure, and accessible for everyone who wants to share their sound with the world, easily.

Beatshare is an indie project built and maintained primarily by me, alongside a small group of talented developer friends who have contributed their time and expertise.

Not vibe coded

Right now, vibe coding is all the rage, and it definitely has created a massive abundance of software that can do a lot of stuff for you. We just want to clarify that Beatshare is in no way shape or form vibe coded, and is built and maintained by competent and professional software developers. This is to ensure security and your privacy.

The roadmap

We launched the first beta version of Beatshare in 2026, and are now building towards having a fully fledged application that can render videos and automate most of the upload workflows you probably face every day as a music producer.

A note on security

Since Beatshare is a desktop application, we know it requires trust to download and run software from the web. You might notice that Windows flags the app with a warning during installation. This simply happens because we are an independent indie project and haven’t gone through the expensive and lengthy process of getting a digital developer certificate yet.

We are actively looking into getting the application signed so Windows stops flagging it. In the meantime, we want to assure you that Beatshare is 100% safe to use, and is solely built to render and distribute videos for your beats.

Linux and Mac support

Also, we want to extend support for Linux and Mac. This is already a big ambition for us, but it takes time. We are currently testing and making sure that the application is stable on Linux. Mac is bit further down the pipeline as we do not currently have the economic ressources to launch and distribute the application for Mac yet.
